New Weather and Tidal Levels links included on the site this week:
The Met Eireann Short Range (9hr) forecast is still in test mode but runs the European HIRLAM model and is highly accurate. Very easy to use, similar appearance to 5-day.
We've also added a new Tidal Data link to live data from a station at Ballycotton. The site offers live and historical recorded tidal data from a host of inland and coastal tidal stations.
Drag a box on the curves to zoom in or use the 'Station groups' link in the site to see a full list of all clickable stations.
Both links are included under Weather & Tides (above left) on all sailaweigh.ie pages.
Occupational First Aid is HSA approved for the workplace and is also open to non-seafarers, it usually runs over 3 Saturdays - other arrangements by request.
Take a look at this short YouTube video compiled by our friends in OntheQT.
It's based on footage gathered during our Croatia cruise in 2013...lots of swimming and sailing but that's only part of it...we discovered a hidden gem in Kukljica on the first night, called at Molat, Silba, Rab and on the last night at Zadar City to sample the historical roman old-town with its traditional market.
Apart from sailing and swimming, the sailors enjoyed local cuisine and saw a WWII concentration camp on one island. Savoured pig on a spit on more than one occasion and through it all sampled local wines and beers to wash down the meal each evening in a different and unique port of call.
You can learn more about Cruising in general or go directly to our Greece or Croatia cruises if you prefer.
