Objective
The aim of this course is to allow U-16's develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely and effectively skipper an open non-planing powerboat by day, on inland and coastal waters whilst keeping withing the limits of Irish legal requirements.
Previous Knowledge / Experience
No previous experience is required but any driving experience will make this course much easier for the candidates.
Duration
14 Hours / 2 Days but it may be extended to 21 hours / 3 days if a candidates' prior experience is less than outlined above.

Jeanneau Rigiflex Numatic 400
We can also deliver this course in your own boat once some pre-conditions have been met.
Age:
It is illegal in Ireland for Under 16s to operate a powerboat capable of over 17 knots.
Under 12s may not operate a boat with an engine rated greater than 5 HP.
