Objective
The aim of this course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to safely and effectively skipper an open powerboat by day, on inland and coastal waters with which you are familiar.
Previous Knowledge / Experience
It is assumed that participants hold the Introduction to Powerboating certificate or equivalent experience.
Duration
14 Hours / 2 Days but it may be extended to 21 hours / 3 days if a candidates' prior experience is less than outlined above.

Warm Clothes and waterproofs if you have them. We have a stock if you're stuck. We provide PFDs / Lifejackets.
Boats Used:
Jeanneau Rigiflex Numatic 400 6.7mtr Excalibur RIB - 'Nightvision' (shown)
We can also deliver this course in your own boat once some pre-conditions have been met.
Age:
It is illegal in Ireland for Under 16s to operate a powerboat capable of over 17 knots.
Under 12s may not operate a boat with an engine rated greater than 5 HP.
