Objective
The aim of this brief introductory course is to give you a positive introduction to the thrill of sailing.
Previous Knowledge / Experience
No prior experience or knowledge is required. This course makes up part of a Start Sailing course which is the next step and the first one on the formal training ladder.
Duration
Intensively 3 hours or spread over 2 days in a summercamp format.
Joining Information
When:
Course is 3 hours, beginning at 10am or 2pm.
What to Bring:
If you have a wetsuit bring it, if not don't worry... we have a selection.
A towel and a pair of shorts /swimwear are good for inside the wetsuit.
We provide PFDs / Lifejackets.

Material Covered / Syllabus
Explain why you should wear a Personal Flotation Device, Wind awareness and basic boat controls, What to do in a capsize situation as crew, An understanding of the ISA Small Boat Sailing Scheme and what course comes next.
During this course you will have an instructor or experienced sailor with you in the boat under close supervision to ensure that you enjoy your first sailing experience.
