Objective
This is the International Standard required to operate VHF Radio equipment on a vessel within 30nm of the coast (Sea Area A1) and includes the ability to operate the associated safety communications equipment on-board.
Private boat owners, Commercial Operators and members of Statutory bodies who use radio equipment MUST hold this licence.
Previous Knowledge / Experience
No prior experience or knowledge is required.

Joining Information
When:
Every 6 weeks we run these Usually at weekends.
2-Day courses run Sat & Sundays from 10:00 to 17:00
What to Bring:
2 Passport Photos and a valid photo ID such as Passport or Driving Licence
Equipment Used:
We use Icom M425 DSC training radios as well as Jotron EPIRB and SARTs.
You'll also see Navtex in action, AIS along with any new developments / technology.
